How do I make an appointment at my veterinary practice in petsXL?
- In the menu, select the calendar symbol
Appointments and then the plus
.
- Select one or more animals of the same species for which you want to make an appointment and confirm with Continue. If necessary, you can add new animals directly.
- Select the vet and confirm with Continue.
Vet practices that you are already connected to will be displayed immediately. You can use the Other vets option to search for other practices in your area. - Select a Reason for visit and, if applicable, your preferred Vet and, if required, add Further information about the appointment and confirm with Continue.
- Select your preferred date and hour in the calendar and confirm with Continue.
- Check and, if necessary, edit the data displayed about you and your animals with the pen symbol
. Mandatory fields are marked. Confirm with Continue.
Check the appointment Summary and confirm with Submit.
The appointment is now booked. You will receive a confirmation by email and/or push notification. In addition, petsXL will remind you of your appointment 24 hours in advance.
After making an appointment, you can send a connection request directly to the veterinary practice.
You can also make appointments directly from your pet's profile using the add appointment icon
.
Appointments can also be made in connection with tasks. The field Further information about the appointment is then already pre-filled with information from the task.
You can book appointments for animals of different species one after the other.
If your veterinary practice has to postpone the appointment, petsXL will automatically inform you by email and/or push notification.
How do I book an appointment with petsXL via my veterinary practice's website?
If your veterinary practice offers online appointments via the homepage, you can easily book an appointment:
Click on the petsXL button on the homepage of your veterinary practice to book an appointment online.
If you already have a petsXL account, select Sign in and log in to petsXL.
Select one or more animals of the same species for which you want to make an appointment and confirm with Continue. If necessary, you can add new animals directly.
Select a Reason for visit and, if applicable, your preferred Vet and, if required, add Further information about the appointment and confirm with Continue.
Select your preferred date and hour in the calendar and confirm with Continue.
Check and, if necessary, edit the data displayed about you and your animals with the pen symbol
. Mandatory fields are marked. Confirm with Continue.
Your appointment is booked directly via Arrange.
After making an appointment, you can send a connection request directly to the veterinary practice.
Click on the petsXL button on the homepage of your veterinary practice to book an appointment online.
If you don't have a petsXL account yet, select I'm new here to choose your appointment.
Select the number of animals you would like to make an appointment for and confirm with Continue.
Select a Reason for visit and, if applicable, your preferred Vet and, if required, add Further information about the appointment and confirm with Continue.
Select your preferred date and hour in the calendar and confirm with Continue.
Select then Book appointment for 20 minutes. To confirm the booking, you must then create a petsXL account.
To do this, select Create account and register with petsXL. Once you have confirmed your registration, your appointment will be booked.
Why can't I find my veterinary practice in the area search?
It may be that your veterinary practice does not yet use petsXL or does not offer online appointment booking or only offers it to linked customers. In these cases, it will not be displayed in petsXL when you make an appointment.
Why can I only book an appointment at certain times?
Your veterinary practice decides at what times appointments can be booked online via petsXL. If no appointments are available online at your desired time, contact your practice by phone to make an appointment. In the menu under
Vets you will find the Business hours of your veterinary practice in the practice profile. You can also call directly from there.
I can't find the reason for my visit in the selection list. How can that be?
The veterinary practices are free to choose the reasons for their visits in petsXL. It is therefore possible that you cannot find your pet's problem in the selection list. In this case, please contact your veterinary practice by telephone to make an appointment and suggest that they add your reason for the visit to the list.
Can I book appointments online without a petsXL account?
No, you can only reserve an appointment for 20 minutes without a petsXL account. To book it permanently, you must then create a petsXL account. When you complete the registration, the reserved appointment will be booked.
How can I edit, postpone or cancel an appointment?
- Select the calendar symbol
Appointments from the menu.
- Select the Appointment and open the Appointment details.
- Select Move or Cancel.
You can also edit the appointment via Move, for example to add Further information. Please note that you will then have to select the previous time of your appointment again.
Your veterinary practice may have set that online appointments via petsXL can only be cancelled or postponed up to 24 hours before the start of the appointment.
How do I transfer petsXL appointments to my private calendar?
You can easily export appointments from petsXL and transfer them to your calendar app:
- Select the calendar symbol
Appointments from the menu.
- Select Export in the Appointment details of the desired appointment. This function is no longer available for appointments that have already been completed or cancelled.
- A new appointment will open in your calendar app, in which the information on the animal name, reason for visit, veterinary practice (location) and start and end of the appointment has already been transferred.
- Add further information if required, such as an appointment reminder, and then save the appointment.
The appointment will now also be displayed in your private calendar.
Once transferred, no further synchronisation of the appointment takes place between petsXL and your calendar app. If the appointment is moved or cancelled in petsXL, it must be moved or deleted manually in your calendar app.
